Product Specs
I’m a beginner at chess, and I was looking for a beginner-quality chessboard. Initially, I was hesitant, but Chess House delivered. I bought this chess set during a sale, and for just $100, I received weighed chess pieces, a board, and storage bag for my pieces. It was an excellent deal. The board quality is impressive, and the pieces are well-made for their price range. However, it’s important to note that this isn’t a thick wooden chessboard. Don’t let that deter you; it still performs well and feels great when moving the pieces. I highly recommend this chess set for beginners, intermediates, and even kids.
This chess set is exactly what I was looking for: a large, simple board with solid, heavy pieces. I am from Lima, Peru, and it is very difficult to find good quality chess sets like this here. I was specifically looking for a set with these characteristics and details so I could play with my great-uncle, who has lost some of his eyesight. The larger pieces make a real difference and will help him enjoy the game again. Thank you for the quality and craftsmanship — I am very happy with this purchase.
I was looking for a set with a nice Staunton esc pieces with a nice board. This is it, pieces are well weighted and balance and slide across the board nicely. The board is very big and great for not clanking pieces. Best all around quality set.
As advertised

19" Weighted Chess Set - Economical Wooden Set for the Home
Recently received this beautiful chess set as a birthday gift from my wife. However, the first piece she picked up and inspected had a radial crack at the base. I contacted Chess House and they expedited a replacement to me. I am very satisfied.
19" Weighted Chess Set - Economical Wooden Set for the Home
My wife and I played two games so far and just love it. The board does not move at all due to the pads on the bottom of it. The size of the pieces are the right height. See the details. Pieces and the board are sturdy. I would highly recommend instead of cheap plastic board and pieces. Thank you.
Well made, good price, sturdy with weighted playing pieces.
Great weight and size. Very solid for the price!
