Millennium Supreme T2 Electronic Chessboard

I have had the Millenium T2 board for several weeks now and I am greatly satisfied! It looks great and is a joy to playon. The pieces are nice and chunky with a good weight. So far I have not had to recharge the battery - I have played 24 10min games on lichess using the chesslink and whitepawn apps. Both performed flawlessly.
My only gripe is that the bluetooth buttons are a bit small.
So overall excellent and would heartily recommend this board.

Nice, but misleading

The board is made in China, not in Germany. The board is made entirely of plastic, so not sure why the description says crafted from premium wood. Otherwise, the board performs nicely and is nice to play on.

Thanks for your review, and we're glad the board is still enjoyed. The body of the board is wood-based, with an MDF core and veneered side panels. The playing surface is covered with a protective film in a wood-grain print, the same approach Millennium uses on its Mephisto boards, chosen for durability and UV resistance. The only plastic part is the side panel that houses the buttons. So it isn't an all-plastic board, but you're right that the surface you see and touch is a printed finish and not bare wood. As for origin, the board is designed in Germany and manufactured in China, and the pieces are made in India.

Disappointing

No! This is a beautiful but useless chess set. The Bluetooth connection was extremely unreliable plus the board fails to recognise some moves. Extremely frustrating. Millennium support had no useful ideas.

ChessHouse have been fantastic dealing with this issue and I thank them for their assistance.

Thank you, Julia, for the kind words and for taking the time to write this. We're sorry the T2 didn't work out for you.

For anyone reading: Julia's board worked reliably over USB, but over Bluetooth on her Android phones and tablet it failed to work as expected and some troubleshooting steps with Millennium did not reveal the reason. So we covered return shipping and issued a full refund.

We tested the returned board and it passed every check. The board itself was not faulty. The issue was in the pairing with her particular devices, and we don't yet know why.

Supreme T2 is a total winner

Have had the opportunity to thoroughly review the new Supreme T2 Board and can find nothing at all wrong or disappointing with this board. It works great with Hiarcs and Fritz on the windows PC as well as Hiracs and Chess.com on the iPad. The Bluetooth connection holds extremely well on both PC and iPad. The board is very fast especially when playing on the original Phoenix module. The board itself is very attractive with the color scheme much better than the original Supreme board. It pairs especially well with the beautiful Executive chess pieces which I had previously purchased from Chesshouse. I look forward to using this board extensively and highly recommend this T2 board to anyone thinking about purchasing the Millennium T2.

Such a BEAUTIFUL board

When I opened the box I was surprised to see that it’s larger than I expected. The pieces are beautiful and they remind me of my Dad’s Jaques of London set. Tip to others—be sure to fully charge the board before your first use. The board works perfectly with both the original and new Mephisto Phoenix modules. Also works with my Mac HIARCS and PC HIARCS as well. Also connects flawlessly with my iPad Pro. Got to give SERIOUS props to the Millennium team for this beautiful board and pieces!

T2 is Awesome/Connection to Chess.com on IOS

I received my preordered Millennium T2 and I am very happy with the quality, look and feel of the board and the pieces. After a lot of trial and error, I was able to connect my T2 to Chess.com on my iPad. Here are the steps that I think finally worked. 1. Connect the T2 to the IOS device using IOS Settings-Bluetooth. I got an error message saying Millennium is not supported, but I believe that it still connected. 2. Download the Chessconnect app from the App Store. In the Chessconnect app Settings change Chessboard to "Millennium". 3. From the Chessconnect main menu select "Connect chess board" and select "MILLENNIUM CHESS" on the next screen. 4. From the Chessconnect main menu select "Chess.com". 5. Enter your login information into this version of Chess.com. Once you have it setup, it connects quickly after that. I have played several chess.com games, and moves are instantly reflected on my iPad. The games are captured and the chess.com review tools are available for analysis. I hope this helps someone.
