About The 16" Junior Wooden Chess Set

One look at this intensely beautiful, unique chess set and you'll be amazed at the fine detail on both the folding wooden chessboard and the chess set pieces. We love the rich, reddish brown and light wood colors that compliment each other nicely between chessboard and pieces. With a slight "western" flavor, roped designs are carved into the entire board. The quality and uniqueness of this board make it an outstanding gift chess set for play at home or as a decorative chess set. This medium-size folding solid wood chess set will last for years, and be a sweet addition to any collection.

In addition to the rare "algebraic" coordinates on this non-magnetic chessboard, a rarity in wood chess boards, you also have the opposing light and dark queen features, where the white king and queen have black tips, and likewise with the black king and queen.

Made in Poland.

Although I was looking for a simpler style The board looks nice, however there is a very fowl odor to the wood and the green holder is very flimsy and doesn’t hold the pieces well, they were all scattered when I opened to review. I was goping for a softer but firmer hold to the pieces more like a foam

Love this Chess Set, it's the perfect size, great for the kids, absolutely beautiful and because it's stunning the children want to play, learn and take care of it. It arrived in great time.
It folds away nicely and also look nice set up on display.
100% very happy customers, quality, price and delivery.

Quality product

My Chess fanatic grandson loves his new board. Very nice. Late shipping was our only complaint. Promised 12/22 arrived 12/27.

Good looking set

Purchased this for my several children, who have taken a liking to chess in recent days. It's a handsome set, nothing extremely fancy (nor did I expect it to be). Thick felt on the bottom of each of the pieces makes for a pleasant feel to the pieces moving across the board.

I also much prefer purchasing from a small retailer like Chess House rather than certain online giants.

Nice set @ a reasonable price

The board and pieces are relatively light and well made. The set is pretty portable, while being more substantial than most "travel" sets. The only complaint I have, and I've seen others mention this as well, is the plastic tray that holds the pieces. It's *very* flimsy.

Excellent Chess Set

Purchased this board for my grandsons (9, 7)
They LOVE it and take it with them everywhere they go :)
The board and chess pieces are beautiful and very easy to handle. Absolutely RECOMMEND!

Junior Set

We were delighted with the quality and design of this well priced set for our grandson. This wooden set has nice weight to the pieces and are properly scaled for little hands. We are thrilled!

Very good quality. Got this for my 12 year old grandson for one of his Christmas gifts this year. Expert craftsmanship very pleased. Delivery was prompt as well

Great looking chess set

Beautiful detail on both pieces and board. Great size for kids, excellent workmanship

Good quality set at a reasonable price

Bought for my 15 year old son as a Christmas present. I was pleased with the quality of this set. The board looks to be handmade using a hot element on wood to carve out the chess squares and decoration/lettering. The pieces are either hand-turned or by automatic laith. Certaintly not mass produced as typically seen with far east manufacturing. We get a lot of pleasure using this set and it has be
